Job Description

Role Summary:

The PMO Emerging Markets role carries multiple responsibilities. In addition to managing the portfolio of strategic projects of the Emerging Markets region, the role will collaborate closely with the Business & HR Leadership across the emerging markets as well as the ESO organization to define and implement an integrated strategy for the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Being a key member working together with the Leadership Team in generating projects to achieve strategic goals. And to be able to phase the projects according to manageable periodical output.
  • Takes the ownership of strategic projects’ on-time and qualified delivery, as a hub, linking cross functions’ joint effort and synergizing the resources. & Provide Project Management capabilities to the Emerging Markets leadership team
  • Develop user-friendly dashboards in an aligned & organized way, and make it as a goal for all members involved.
  • Be recognized as an expert in the management and delivery of complex projects; able to convert strategic decisions into implementable projects
  • Ensure all delivered strategic projects are handed over to the business with a full change management program to increase business impact and benefits delivery
  • Manage several complex projects as demand dictates; this may include providing GROW (i.e. Development) experiences to other talent in the Emerging Markets to lead those projects. Manage Project Team(s) without direct line authority

Capability & Development

  • Strong understanding of growth drivers for emerging markets and interpret them into projects’ deliverables
  • Outstanding analytical capability, to join the design of projects and the diagnose of project progress to keep them on right direction.
  • Confident to highlight challenges and issues to cause attention when necessary.
  • Supports in creation & implementation of Development & Capability frameworks, guidelines, and template across Janssen Emerging Markets. Acting as a main business partner to the Commercial & HR Leadership teams across the region.

Regularly stay in touch with cohorts

  • Engage with program participants and understand where they stand, what could increase their satisfaction and what concerns them. Involve sponsors as needed.
  • Work closely with the HR & Commercial leadership to continuously identify further areas of improvement to grow our business through top notch capabilities
  • Serve as a liaison with EMEA Capability Development Leader (ESO)

Create buy-in and excitement

  • Supports the development of training and communications to ensure cohort participants are excited and empowered for the journey ahead
  • Develop trusted partnership/coaching relationship with leaders/teams that enhances the impact
  • Partner with BUHR Leaders on creating awareness/bridges between EM and other parts of the business / geographies for Talent
  • Partnering with HR & Commercial to derive insights from data and agree on Emerging Markets specific actions
  • Preparing relevant people analytics Dashboards & Presentations

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university with 8+ years of business experience. MBA/other advanced degree is a plus.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in Marketing, Project Management, or Commercial Account management in the Pharma industry.
  • Knowledge of Project/Program Management methodologies and Change Management methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within a complex and changing environment.
  • Understanding of the market growth drivers.
  • Excellent supplier and external stakeholder management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Structured approach to problem solving in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to combine the strategic dimension with detail orientation knowing where to operate.
  • Customer and market place focused with an awareness of the importance of business results.
  • Awareness of and adherence to Johnson & Johnson Credo values.
  • Strong presentation skills and excellent working Knowledege with MS Office (MS Powerpoint & MS Excel).
  • Languages: English fluent, French or Arabic is a plus.
